have you ever heard a witness say something like "why do apostates have to keep talking about the wts/jw faith?

why don't they just go on with their lives?

if they've found something better, why don't they just focus on that instead of us?

now that i have secured more time with my children and i have established my interest in the religious side of their lives i wonder what is best next.. what sort of material is best to use to get them thinking?

i want to get them thinking.. what sort of real truths matter to teens in the jws these days?.

i know that they dont beleive everything, such as shunning and that worldly people are all bad.

C.T. Russell was NOT a Mason. He used Masonic symbolism on his books because it was something he was curious about, but there is no proof that he ever was a Mason.

He was buried in a normal burial plot, but his followers out up a pyramid nearby to commemorate him.

Am I the only one who thought the GB was 100% correct when they were a JW?

a few months ago i began researching my doubts on the internet about the wtbts and i came across a bunch of crazy facts.

this helped me realize this isn't "the truth.".

when i was growing up, i believed the society was always right, and we needed to obey what was in the publications.

Yes, when I was a devout, fully-believing, undoubting JW, I fully believed the GB were the only ones being directed by Jehovah and 100% correct.

my $1.87 bottle of pepsi at dunkin donuts

i drive all day at work.. i usually pack my thermos of coffe, but have to stop 2 times a day for a drink.. the other day was dying of 98 degree heat, so i was hard up for a drink.. alas, i saw a dunkin donuts, figured they gotta have something other than cofee.. saw, the frig with soda, and iced teas.............. picked up a 20oz pepsi.. went to pay for it, sir it will be $1.87.

i was thirsty so i paid it promptly.. as i walked away, i wish i could mark up stuff this much.. in my work, i can barely mark stuff up 25-30% and these guys marking this stuff up 300%?.

i can go to supermarket and buy 3 of these for what 1 cost or buy 1 1/2 large bottles.. where is this going?

What are you complaining about? Here in Australia a similar sized bottle sells for about $3 AUD at take-away places.

Why should I have to sign a letter saying I want to disassociate ?

i don't understand why the elders want this letter so badly ....for one i don't remember signing a contract to become a jehovah's witness ,why do i need to resign ?.

also i was baptised in 1978 before the baptism questions changed , i dedicated myself to god not an organization .

my vow was to follow the direction by holy spirit as revealed to me through the bible, not the watchtower ...... if i belonged to the luthern church and quit going after three yrs they drop your name off the member list ........but if i chose to come to easter or christmas service everyonre would still talk to me i just wouldn't be a member any more .. .

I don’t think the elder meant any harm….

However, by acknowledging that you had requested no more contacts from them, he has admitted to deliberately overriding your request.

As the police said in your other thread, a simple ‘cease and desist’ letter should let the elders know that they do not have the authority in your life as much as they think they do.

I’ve used Zoloft and Prozac (not together) and I’ve never raped or murdered anyone.
